Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, you are warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your accommodation in a quiet residential area of Windhoek. After time to relax following your journey, enjoy a guided orientation tour of Namibia’s capital. The evening concludes with dinner at a local restaurant.
After breakfast, travel south via Rehoboth towards the Namib Desert. The scenery gradually opens into wide plains framed by distant mountain ranges. Your lodge is situated within a vast private reserve bordering one of Namibia’s most renowned desert conservation areas. From its elevated position, sweeping views extend across the surrounding landscape.
An early departure takes you into the heart of the Namib to visit Sossusvlei, home to some of the world’s highest sand dunes. In the soft morning light, the dunes display striking contrasts of gold and shadow. Walk into Deadvlei, where ancient camelthorn trees stand silhouetted against the white clay pan. There is the opportunity to climb one of the towering dunes for panoramic desert views. On return, visit Sesriem Canyon before heading back to your lodge.
Today you traverse the central Namib Desert, passing through the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons. The vast gravel plains and ever-changing light create a striking landscape. Arriving via Walvis Bay, continue to the coastal town of Swakopmund. Your accommodation is located within walking distance of the town centre and the Atlantic Ocean. Dinner is enjoyed at a seaside restaurant.
This morning, enjoy a catamaran excursion on the Walvis Bay Lagoon. Seals, dolphins, pelicans and flamingos are frequently sighted. The afternoon is at leisure. Optional activities include scenic flights, quad biking, museum visits or simply enjoying the relaxed coastal atmosphere.
Leaving the coast behind, travel inland towards the Erongo Mountains. En route, admire the dramatic granite peak of Spitzkoppe rising sharply from the plains. Your lodge is set at the foot of the mountains, offering expansive views across this striking landscape. Sunset often bathes the granite formations in warm tones.
