Welcome to Namibia! Upon arrival at the airport, we will be met and transferred to Windhoek, where we collect our rental vehicle. We then make our way to our accommodation, offering the perfect place to unwind after the long flight. The rest of the day is at leisure. Depending on our arrival time, we may take a first stroll through Windhoek, relax by the pool or enjoy a drink overlooking the city.
After breakfast, our self-drive holiday through Namibia begins as we travel north towards Otjiwarongo and a private nature reserve. This region is known for its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. In the afternoon, we join a guided game drive in search of a variety of animals, including giraffes, antelope, and, with a little luck, even some of Africa's big cats. Afterwards, we return to the lodge to enjoy a relaxed evening and dinner.
After breakfast, we continue our journey towards Etosha National Park. One of Africa's best-known wildlife reserves, Etosha is renowned for its remarkable diversity of wildlife and unforgettable safari experiences. Our lodge is located close to the park entrance, providing the perfect base for the days ahead. Depending on our arrival time, there may be an opportunity for our first game drive in Etosha National Park or simply to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the lodge.
Today is dedicated to exploring the eastern section of Etosha National Park. As we make our way through the park, we visit a variety of waterholes where wildlife gathers throughout the year. With a little luck, we may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, oryx, kudu, wildebeest, springbok, ostriches, lions or even rhinos. Towards the evening, we leave the park and continue to our lodge near the eastern entrance, where we can relax after another rewarding day of wildlife viewing.
Today offers another full day to enjoy the wildlife of Etosha National Park. Exploring at our own pace, we visit a selection of waterholes where animals gather throughout the year. With a little luck, we may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelope, lions, leopards or even rhinos. Alternatively, we can spend some time relaxing at the lodge and simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings after the excitement of the previous days.
Today we leave Etosha National Park behind and continue our journey towards north-eastern Namibia. As we travel further north, the landscape gradually becomes greener, passing small villages and offering a glimpse into a different side of the country. Upon arrival at our accommodation, there is time to relax by the pool, explore the surroundings or join one of the optional activities available. We end the day surrounded by nature, ready for the adventures that lie ahead.
Today we continue our journey along the mighty Okavango River. Travelling through the Kavango Region, we pass traditional villages and gain an insight into life in Namibia's lush north. Our lodge is situated on the riverbank, providing the perfect place to experience the peaceful surroundings. In the evening, we enjoy a boat cruise on the Okavango. With a little luck, we may spot hippos, crocodiles and a wide variety of birdlife as the setting sun casts a warm glow across the water.
Today we have the opportunity to explore Mahango National Park. Although one of Namibia's smaller parks, it is renowned for its rich wildlife and beautiful landscapes of river channels, floodplains and woodland. With a little luck, we may encounter buffalo, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, a variety of antelope species and an impressive diversity of birdlife. Afterwards, we return to our lodge to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere along the Okavango River.
Today we continue our journey into the eastern Zambezi Region. Crossing the Okavango, we travel through Bwabwata National Park to our lodge on the banks of the Kwando River. Lush vegetation, winding waterways and abundant wildlife give this part of Namibia a completely different character from the rest of the country. Depending on the lodge and included activities, we may enjoy a boat cruise on the Kwando River or a game drive in the national park. With a little luck, we may encounter hippos, crocodiles, elephants and an impressive variety of birdlife.
Today we explore Bwabwata National Park on a guided game drive. Its varied landscapes of floodplains, riverine forests and open grasslands provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. The Kwando River is particularly well known for its large elephant population, and with a little luck we may also encounter buffalo, hippos, antelope, crocodiles and a remarkable variety of birdlife. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Depending on the lodge, there may be opportunities to enjoy additional optional activities or simply relax and soak up the peaceful surroundings.
Today we leave Namibia and travel to Katima Mulilo, where we return our rental vehicle. From there, we are transferred to Kasane in Botswana. Our accommodation is situated on the banks of the Chobe River, providing an ideal base for exploring one of southern Africa's most wildlife-rich regions. During the afternoon, we enjoy a boat cruise on the Chobe River. We may encounter elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo and a remarkable variety of waterbirds gathering along the riverbanks.
Today we discover the incredible wildlife of Chobe National Park and the Chobe River. This region is one of Botswana's richest wildlife areas and is especially renowned for its large elephant herds. Depending on the itinerary, we explore the area either on a game drive or from the water. Elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, antelope and an impressive variety of birdlife are all regularly seen here. Afterwards, there is time to relax at our accommodation and reflect on another memorable day in the African bush.
Today we leave Botswana and transfer to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. After arriving, there is time to visit the world-famous Victoria Falls. Stretching for almost 1.7 kilometres, the Zambezi River plunges up to 110 metres into the gorge below, creating one of Africa's most impressive natural wonders. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Those who wish can choose from a range of optional activities, including a sunset cruise, a helicopter flight or visits to local attractions.
Depending on our flight time, there may be an opportunity to enjoy one last optional activity or a final visit to Victoria Falls. Afterwards, we are transferred to the airport for our onward flight home. Taking home unforgettable memories and lasting impressions, our journey through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe comes to an end.
