Welcome to Namibia! Upon arrival at the airport, we are met and transferred to Windhoek, where we collect our rental vehicle. We then continue to our accommodation. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore the city at our own pace.
After breakfast, we begin our drive north towards Otjiwarongo and a private nature reserve. In the afternoon, an included game drive offers the opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife, including giraffe, antelope and, with a little luck, some of Africa's predators. Afterwards, we return to the lodge for dinner.
After breakfast, we continue towards Etosha National Park. Our lodge is located close to the park entrance and serves as a base for exploring the area. Depending on our arrival time, there may be an opportunity for a first game drive in Etosha National Park or time to relax at the lodge.
We explore the eastern section of Etosha National Park, visiting a variety of waterholes along the way. Wildlife sightings may include elephant, giraffe, zebra, oryx, kudu, wildebeest, springbok, ostrich, lion and rhino. In the late afternoon, we leave the park and continue to our lodge near the eastern entrance.
Another day is available to explore Etosha National Park. At our own pace, we visit a selection of waterholes where wildlife gathers throughout the year. Sightings may include elephant, giraffe, zebra, antelope, lion, leopard and rhino. Alternatively, the day can be spent relaxing at the lodge.
Leaving Etosha National Park behind, we continue towards north-eastern Namibia. Along the way, we pass villages and settlements typical of this part of the country. Upon arrival at our accommodation, there is time to relax or join one of the optional activities available.
Continuing along the Okavango River, we travel through the Kavango Region to our lodge on the riverbank. In the afternoon or evening, an included boat cruise offers the opportunity to observe wildlife such as hippo, crocodile and a variety of bird species.
There is an opportunity to explore Mahango National Park, known for its river channels, floodplains and woodland habitats. Wildlife sightings may include buffalo, elephant, hippo, crocodile and a variety of antelope and bird species. Afterwards, we return to the lodge on the Okavango River.
Continuing into the Zambezi Region, we travel through Bwabwata National Park to our lodge on the banks of the Kwando River. Depending on the lodge and included activities, the afternoon may include a boat cruise on the Kwando River or a game drive in the national park. Wildlife sightings may include hippo, crocodile, elephant and a variety of bird species.
A guided game drive offers the opportunity to explore Bwabwata National Park. Wildlife sightings may include elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, antelope and a variety of bird species. The remainder of the day is free to relax at the lodge or join additional activities, depending on the accommodation.
Leaving Namibia behind, we travel to Katima Mulilo, where we return our rental vehicle. From there, we transfer to Kasane in Botswana and continue to our accommodation on the Chobe River. In the afternoon, an included boat cruise offers the opportunity to observe wildlife such as elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo and a variety of bird species along the river.
Chobe National Park and the Chobe River offer excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. Depending on the itinerary, we explore the area on a game drive or boat cruise. Wildlife sightings may include elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, antelope and a variety of bird species. Afterwards, there is time to relax at the accommodation.
Leaving Botswana behind, we transfer to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. After arriving, there is time to visit Victoria Falls. The remainder of the day is free to explore the town or join one of the optional activities available.
Depending on our flight time, there may be an opportunity for a final visit to Victoria Falls or to join one of the optional activities on offer. Afterwards, we transfer to the airport for our onward flight home.
