Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival in Windhoek

Welcome to Namibia! Upon arrival at the airport, we are met and transferred to our hotel in Windhoek. The remainder of the day is yours to relax after the long journey. Unwind by the pool, enjoy the wellness facilities or, if you feel like exploring, join an optional city tour or take a leisurely stroll through Namibia's capital. As the day comes to an end, a drink overlooking Klein Windhoek is the perfect way to begin your African adventure.

Day 2

Flight to the Namib Desert

(Silver) Today our fly-in adventure begins. After a transfer to Windhoek's domestic airport, we fly across the Khomas Highlands into the Namib, one of the world's oldest deserts. From the air, the vast open plains, rugged mountain ranges and towering red dunes create an unforgettable first impression. After landing, we settle into our lodge on the edge of the dune landscape. In the afternoon, we head out on a guided nature drive to explore the surrounding desert. As the sun begins to set, the colours of the Namib transform into warm shades of gold, orange and deep red. We round off the day with a sundowner while taking in the peace and beauty of this extraordinary landscape.

(Gold, Day 2-4) Today our fly-in adventure begins. After a transfer to Windhoek's domestic airport, we fly across the Khomas Highlands to the NamibRand Nature Reserve, one of southern Africa's largest private nature reserves. From the air, the sweeping desert plains, rugged mountains and iconic red dunes reveal the remarkable scale and beauty of this protected wilderness. Over the next three days, we immerse ourselves in one of Namibia's most captivating landscapes. Guided nature and game drives take us through rolling dunes, dry riverbeds, open grasslands and the mysterious fairy circles that have made this region famous. Oryx, springbok and ostriches are perfectly adapted to this harsh yet beautiful environment and are regularly encountered along the way. Between activities, there is plenty of time to relax at the lodge, enjoy the tranquillity of the desert and simply take in the endless views. As darkness falls, another highlight awaits. NamibRand is recognised as one of Africa's premier stargazing destinations, where the clear, unpolluted skies reveal an extraordinary display of stars unlike almost anywhere else in the world.

Day 3

Sossusvlei

Before sunrise, we set off for Sossusvlei, where the first light of day transforms the towering dunes into glowing shades of red, gold and orange. We visit the iconic Dead Vlei, where centuries-old camel thorn trees stand in striking contrast against the white clay pan and surrounding dunes. Those wishing to do so can climb one of the impressive dunes and enjoy breathtaking views across the Namib Desert. Afterwards, a delicious brunch awaits beneath the shade of a tree before we return to the lodge at a relaxed pace.

Day 4

Flight to Swakopmund

After breakfast, we fly to the Atlantic coast and the charming town of Swakopmund. With its blend of German colonial architecture, seaside atmosphere and relaxed pace of life, it offers a refreshing contrast to the vast desert landscapes of the Namib. Our guesthouse is located within easy walking distance of the ocean and the town centre, where cafés, restaurants and boutique shops invite you to explore. If you wish, round off the day with dinner overlooking the Atlantic Ocean (optional).

Day 5 & 6

Swakopmund & Walvis Bay

(Silver) The next two days are spent in Swakopmund, Namibia's charming seaside town on the Atlantic coast. One of the highlights is a boat cruise on the Walvis Bay Lagoon, where seals, flamingos and pelicans are regular companions. With a little luck, dolphins may swim alongside the boat, and during whale season, these magnificent giants can sometimes also be seen. Another memorable experience is a guided Living Desert Tour. Accompanied by an experienced guide, we discover the remarkable creatures that have adapted to life in one of the world's oldest deserts. Sand vipers, chameleons and the almost transparent Palmato gecko are just some of the fascinating species that may be found. Between activities, there is plenty of time to explore Swakopmund at your own pace, browse its boutique shops or relax in one of its inviting cafés.

The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Swakopmund.

Day 7 & 8

Damaraland

(Silver) Today we fly into Damaraland, one of Namibia's most striking and diverse regions. During the flight, the imposing Brandberg Massif and the rugged mountain ranges of north-western Namibia provide spectacular scenery below. Over the next two days, we discover the area's unique natural and cultural highlights, including the world-famous rock engravings of Twyfelfontein, Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes. Another memorable experience is an excursion along the dry Aba-Huab River in search of the elusive desert-adapted elephants. (Gold) Our flight takes us over the Brandberg Massif and into the dramatic landscapes of Damaraland, a region celebrated for its vast open spaces and untamed beauty. Our exclusive lodge blends seamlessly into the surrounding granite boulders, offering magnificent views across this remarkable wilderness. Between activities, there is time to relax, soak up the tranquillity and watch the sun set over the ancient landscape. During our stay, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein, home to thousands of ancient rock engravings, as well as Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes. Another highlight is an excursion through the dry Aba-Huab River in search of the famous desert-adapted elephants. These remarkable animals have evolved to thrive in one of Namibia's harshest environments and are among the region's most sought-after wildlife sightings.

Day 9 & 10

Etosha National Park

(Silver) Today we arrive at Etosha National Park, one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife reserves. The vast Etosha Pan and its numerous waterholes attract an extraordinary concentration of wildlife throughout the year. Over the next two days, we explore the park on extended game drives at a relaxed pace. Elephants, giraffes, zebras and a variety of antelope are regularly encountered, while patient observers may also be rewarded with sightings of lions, rhinos or even cheetahs. Every waterhole offers a different perspective, making each safari a unique experience.

(Gold) Today we arrive at Etosha National Park, one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations. For the next two nights, we stay in the private Ongava Game Reserve, bordering the national park and offering exclusive access to an exceptionally rich wildlife area. From the lodge, we overlook a floodlit waterhole that frequently attracts animals after sunset. During our stay, we enjoy extensive game drives in Etosha National Park and, depending on the programme, within Ongava Game Reserve itself. The vast Etosha Pan, its network of waterholes and the diverse surrounding habitats provide outstanding wildlife viewing opportunities. Elephants, rhinos, giraffes, lions and many other species are regularly encountered, making this one of the highlights of our Namibian fly-in safari.

Day 11

Okonjima

Today we fly to Okonjima, home to the renowned AfriCat Foundation. Set within a 22,000-hectare private nature reserve in the Omboroko Mountains, it is one of Namibia's finest places to observe leopards in their natural habitat. During our visit, we also gain fascinating insights into the foundation's important conservation work to protect leopards, hyenas and other predators. In the afternoon, we join a guided game drive in search of the reserve's resident leopards. With a little patience, we may enjoy a close encounter with one of Africa's most elusive big cats, providing a memorable finale to our Namibian fly-in safari. Back at the lodge, we round off the day with dinner while soaking up the peaceful atmosphere of the African bush.

Day 12

Departure

Today it is time to say goodbye to Namibia. After a final breakfast in the African bush, we fly back to Windhoek, where we connect with our afternoon or evening flight home.
