Day 1: Arrive in Windhoek
Afternoon relax at lodge in the country. After coffee and cake we go on an afternoon nature drive and enjoy a sundowner viewing our first African sunset. Lodge near Windhoek.
Day 2: Drive to Otjiwarongo
Travel via Okahandja where we visit the wood carvers market. We can book a game drive and a leopard/cheetah feeding at the lodge. Lodge at the Waterberg plateau.
Day 3: Drive to the Etosha National Park
We are taken on guided game drives to view the many animals in this „Great White Place“ with our expert guide. At night view the many animals at the gently floodlit waterhole. Restcamp at Okaukuejo near waterhole.
Day 4: Drive through the Etosha National Park
Guided game drive through park to visit the many waterholes. Travel via Halali to eastern Etosha to leave the park to reach our comfortable lodge in the Terminalia savannah. Bush Camp.
Day 5: Drive to guestfarm near Grootfontein
On the way to Tsumeb we visit Lake Otjikoto where the Germans dumped their canons in 1915. The guestfarm is a typical cattle farm, we will experience life on the farm and over dinner we will learn about Namibia and the daily challenges of a farmer in this hard land. Guestfarm in countryside.
Day 6: Travel to Rundu on the border with Angola
We enter “true Africa“ travelling through an area with many traditional African kraals. The lodge is directly on the river where we will take a special sundowner boat cruise late in the afternoon. Lodge on the Okavango River.
Day 7: Drive through the Kavango Region
The lodge is directly on the Okavango River where the hippos often come out at night to graze between the bungalows. Our guide will take us on a game drive in the wildlife paradise that is Mahango National Park. Lodge near the Mahango National Park.
Day 8: Drive through Western Caprivi
Pure Africa! Elephants, hippo, crocodile and many other animals in this sub-tropical wildlife rich area. Sundowner boat trip along meandering river channels, in-between riverine rich vegetation, in search of wild animals. Lodge directly on the Kwando River.
Day 9: Bwabwata National Park
Interesting game drive in Bwabwata National Park. At certain times of the year there are hundreds of elephant migrating through this area, an awesome sight to see when they go down to drink at the famous horseshoe bend. Lodge on the Kwando River.
Day 10: Transfer to Kasane /Botswana
We say goodbye to our guide and Tutwa Travel transfer us to Kasane in Botswana to our lodge directly on the Chobe River. Lodge on the Chobe River.
Day 11: Lodge on the Chobe River, Botswana
Early morning game drive in the Chobe National Park to view the many elephants and other wild animals found here. In the afternoon we go on an unforgettable boat cruise on the Chobe River to view the many animals coming down to the water to drink, including elephant, buffalo, sable antelope and more. Lodge on the Chobe River.
Day 12: Transfer to Victoria Falls
Transfer to Victoria Falls. Our lodge is on the banks of the Zambezi River upriver from the falls. Transfer to the world famous Victoria Falls where the Zambezi River drops 110 meters over a cliff 1700 meters wide, to the gorge below. Known as the Smoke that Thunders, the picture of these falls will remain etched in your memory forever. Lodge on the Zambezi River.
Day 13: Flight Victoria Falls - Johannesburg
In the morning we may decide to go river rafting, on a boat cruise on the Zambezi River or possibly a scenic flight above the falls. Transfer to airport for afternoon flight to Johannesburg. Night flight back home.
